As you all know facing corona of a pandemic, protecting ourselves from this infection is through two ways- 1. Social distancing 2. Boosting the Immune system. It is mandatory to improve your immune system as it is affecting 23.1% of the total population with age groups 44-65 years, 24.6% affecting the age groups 64-74 years, around 47.7% are the affected age groups above 75years, 0.04% it has affected the age groups 0-17 years and 4.5% are the age groups 18-44 years old. The most affected are the population aged 44-65 years old, as the reason being diabetic, BP, COPD, Kidney disease, liver disease, cancer, and various other complications. Lifestyle diseases are the most common reason for the infection.
The COVID-19 virus causes acute respiratory syndrome leading to death. The only way out to escape from getting infected is by boosting our Immune system. As per the central government of India, we have certain guidelines to be followed- we can consume chyawanprash, Golden milk, Ayush Kwath, (Tulasi, Black pepper, cinnamon, dried ginger in the ratio of 4:2:1:2) add all these to water and make a broth and it can be consumed. These are some of the simple ways which can be followed by us as homemade remedies. On 23rd April 2020 chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K. They have also suggested for the Rejuvenation therapy can be procured with the guidance of Ayurvedic doctors. Indhukantham kashayam is made of 18 herbs and it has beneficial effects of Antioxidant, Immune Booster, Improves Digestion, Anti Spasmodic, Antipyretic, and Hepatoprotective.
Among the above-listed medicines, Indhukantham kashayam is the most effective medicine. These 4 (Dasamoola kadutrayam kashayam, Vyaghryadi kashayam, Kushmanda Rasayanam, Agasthya Rasayanam) medicines are mostly meant for cold, sinusitis, asthma, other lung infections, upper respiratory tract or lower respiratory tract infections. Whereas Indhukantham kashayam not only meant for these infections. It is beneficial as an Immune booster; one without any infection can take this medicine without causing any harm to the body.
Dasamoola kadutrayam kashayam is made up of 14 herbs, which is a bronchodilator, Mucolytic, Appetizer, Anti-inflammatory, Immuno booster. It is mostly given to the patients with cold n cough, upper respiratory tract, or lower respiratory tract infections as suggested in Ayurveda. Vyaghryadi kashayam is made up of 4 herbs, which is an Antimicrobial and Antibacterial. Agasthya Rasayanam is beneficial for running nose, cold n cough, lung-related complications, and an immune booster. Kushmanda Rasayanam is beneficial in improving the vital organs, Neuroprotective, Nervous tonic, cardioprotective, Anti-inflammatory, Antioxidant. The herbs in this medicine are very effective in protecting our body from infections; it also reduces the severity of infection in COVID-19 positive patients. These medicines are given to the COVID-19 patients in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and other parts of India.
